Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

I came to him at Arafah and found him eating a pomegranate. He said, "Come closer and eat. Perhaps you are fasting? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used not to fast on this day."On another occasion he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not fast on this day."

عن ابن عباس قال

أتيته بعرفة فوجدته يأكل رمانا فقال ادن فكل لعلك صائم إن رسول الله ﷺ كان لا يصومه وقال مرة إن رسول الله ﷺ لم يصم هذا اليوم
