The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not take anything that has a soul as a target."Abdul-Razzaq said, "He forbade taking anything that has a soul as a target."
Its isnad is sahih. Most of the isnad was mistakenly dropped from H, and we have restored it from K. What supports the correctness of what we have established is that the hadith has already appeared at 1863 and 2474 through the route of Thawri, from Simak, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas. In Abdul-Razzaq's narration from Thawri, the phrase "an yattakhidha" is an abridgment, while the rest of the meaning is clear. In H there is an addition, "something with a soul in it", which is unnecessary and does not complete the wording properly, so we have established what is in K.
