I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever among you comes to the Friday prayer should bathe."Tawus said, I said to Ibn Abbas, "People mention that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Bathe on Friday, wash your heads even if you are not in a state of major impurity, and apply some perfume.'"Ibn Abbas replied, "As for the bathing, yes. As for the perfume, I do not know."
حدثنا أبو اليمان حدثنا شعيب قال سئل الزهري هل في الجمعة غسل واجب فقال حدثني سالم بن عبد الله بن عمر أنه سمع
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول من جاء منكم الجمعة فليغتسل و قال طاوس قلت لابن عباس ذكروا أن النبي ﷺ قال اغتسلوا يوم الجمعة واغسلوا رءوسكم وإن لم تكونوا جنبا وأصيبوا من الطيب فقال ابن عباس أما الغسل فنعم وأما الطيب فلا أدري
Its isnad is sahih, and it is in fact two hadiths, one from Ibn Umar and one from Ibn Abbas. As for the hadith of Ibn Abbas, it is a repetition of 2383, and see also 2419. As for the hadith of Ibn Umar, it was narrated by the authors of the six books, as noted in al-Muntaqa, 400, 401.
