A man was wounded during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and then he had a wet dream. He was instructed to perform the full bath, and he died as a result. When news of this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "They killed him, may Allah destroy them! Was not the cure for ignorance simply to ask?"

أن رجلا أصابه جرح في عهد رسول الله ﷺ ثم أصابه احتلام فأمر بالاغتسال فمات فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فقال قتلوه قتلهم الله ألم يكن شفاء العي السؤال
