Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

So-and-so was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Arafah. The young man kept glancing at the women and looking at them, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept turning his face away with his hand from behind, time after time, but the young man continued glancing at them.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Nephew, this is a day on which whoever controls his hearing, his sight, and his tongue will be forgiven."

حدثنا عفان حدثني سكين بن عبد العزيز قال حدثني أبي قال سمعت

ابن عباس قال

كان فلان رديف رسول الله ﷺ يوم عرفة قال فجعل الفتى يلاحظ النساء وينظر إليهن قال وجعل رسول الله ﷺ يصرف وجهه بيده من خلفه مرارا قال وجعل الفتى يلاحظ إليهن قال فقال له رسول الله ﷺ ابن أخي إن هذا يوم من ملك فيه سمعه وبصره ولسانه غفر له
