The Prophet ﷺ forbade walking in only one slipper or one sandal.The hadith contains much other material besides this, but he did not narrate it to us. He struck it out in his book, and I suspect that he abandoned the hadith because it was reported by Amr bin Khalid, who narrates from Zayd bin Ali, and Amr bin Khalid is worthless.
مضروب عليه حدثنا عبد الله قال وكان في كتاب أبي عن عبد الصمد عن أبيه عن الحسن يعني ابن ذكوان عن حبيب عن سعيد بن جبير
أن النبي ﷺ نهى أن يمشى في خف واحد أو نعل واحدة وفي الحديث كلام كثير غير هذا فلم يحدثنا به ضرب عليه في كتابه فظننت أنه ترك حديثه من أجل أنه روى عن عمرو بن خالد الذي يحدث عن زيد بن علي وعمرو بن خالد لا يساوي شيئا
