Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ wanted to perform ablution from a waterskin, but he was told that it had been made from an animal that had died of itself. He said, "Its tanning removes its filth," or "its impurity," or "its uncleanness."

عن ابن عباس قال

أراد النبي ﷺ أن يتوضأ من سقاء فقيل له إنه ميتة فقال دباغه يذهب خبثه أو رجسه أو نجسه
