Its isnad is daif because of a break in the chain. Ata bin Abu Muslim Khurasani, his reliability was already established at 505, but he did not hear from Ibn Abbas. In fact, he did not hear from any of the companions except Anas, according to Tabarani.Ibn Abu Hatim reported in al-Marasil (58), from Ahmad bin Hanbal, who said, "Ata Khurasani did not hear anything from Ibn Abbas. He saw Ibn Umar but did not hear anything from him." He also reported from Abu Zura, who said, "He did not hear from Anas." See al-Jarh wal-Tadil 3/1/334-335.This hadith was also reported by Ibn Majah, as found in al-Muntaqa (2686), and it will come again at 2853.
