I set out for Hajj, and when I arrived I entered the House. When I reached the area between the two pillars, I went forward until I pressed myself against the wall. Then Ibn Umar came and prayed beside me, performing four rakahs.When he had finished, I asked, "Where in the House did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?"He replied, "Usama bin Zayd told me that he prayed right here."I asked, "How many rakahs did he pray?"He said, "On this very point I find myself reproaching myself. I lived with him for a lifetime and never asked him how many rakahs he prayed."The following year I performed Hajj again, and I came and stood in that same spot. Then Ibn Zubayr came and prayed four rakahs there.
