I stayed as a guest with Umm Ayub, the same household with whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had stayed. She narrated this to me about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying that they had taken pains to prepare a meal for him which contained some of these herbs. When they presented it to him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked it and said to his companions, "Eat, for I am not like any of you. I fear that I might offend my companion," meaning the angel.

نزلت على أم أيوب الذين نزل عليهم رسول الله ﷺ نزلت عليها فحدثتني بهذا عن رسول الله ﷺ أنهم تكلفوا طعاما فيه بعض هذه البقول فقربوه فكرهه رسول الله ﷺ وقال لأصحابه كلوا إني لست كأحد منكم إني أخاف أن أوذي صاحبي يعني الملك
