The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Lying is not permissible except in three cases, a man's lie to his wife to please her, lying to reconcile between people, or lying in war."
حدثنا أبو أحمد حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الله بن عثمان يعني ابن خثيم عن شهر بن حوشب
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يصلح الكذب إلا في ثلاث كذب الرجل امرأته ليرضيها أو إصلاح بين الناس أو كذب في الحرب
