Umm Darda was married to him. He came to them and found Umm Darda there.She asked him, "Do you intend to perform the Hajj this year?"He replied, "Yes."She said, "Then pray for us with goodness, for the Prophet ﷺ used to say, 'The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head is an angel appointed over him, and whenever he prays for his brother with goodness, the angel says, Amin, and may you have the same.'"He said, I then went out to the market and met Abu Darda, who narrated to me the same thing from the Prophet ﷺ.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا عبد الملك عن أبي الزبير
وكانت تحته أم الدرداء فأتاهم فوجد أم الدرداء فقالت له أتريد الحج العام فقال نعم قالت فادع لنا بخير فإن النبي ﷺ كان يقول إن دعوة المرء المسلم مستجابة لأخيه بظهر الغيب عند رأسه ملك موكل به كلما دعا لأخيه بخير قال آمين ولك بمثل قال فخرجت إلى السوق فلقيت أبا الدرداء فحدثني عن النبي ﷺ بمثل ذلك
