Qatada used to recount it to us. He said, Salim bin Abu Jaad Ghatafani related to us, from the hadith of Madan bin Abu Talha Yamuri, from the hadith of Abu Darda, who narrated it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surah Kahf will be protected from the trial of Dajjal."Then he returned to the report of Abdul-Samad, who said, Hammam related to us, saying, Qatada related to us, from Salim, from the hadith of Madan, from Abu Darda, who narrated it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, that he said, "Whoever memorizes ten verses from Surah Kahf."
حدثنا عبد الصمد وعفان قالا ثنا همام قال عفان في حديثه حدثنا همام قال كان قتادة يقص به علينا قال ثنا سالم بن أبي الجعد الغطفاني عن حديث معدان بن أبي طلحة اليعمري عن حديث أبي الدرداء يرويه عن نبي الله ﷺ فذكر مثله ثم رجع إلى حديث عبد الصمد قال ثنا همام حدثنا قتادة عن سالم عن حديث معدان عن أبي الدرداء يرويه عن نبي الله ﷺ أنه قال من حفظ عشر آيات من سورة الكهف
