The narration is traced back to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Allah will never combine inside a man the dust of jihad in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hellfire. Whoever's feet become covered with dust in the cause of Allah, Allah will forbid the rest of his body to the Fire. Whoever fasts a single day in the cause of Allah, Allah will distance the Fire from him by a journey of a thousand years for a swift rider. Whoever sustains a wound in the cause of Allah will be sealed with the seal of the martyrs, having a light on the Day of Resurrection whose color is like saffron and whose fragrance is like musk, by which the first and the last will recognize him, saying, 'So-and-so bears the mark of the martyrs.' And whoever fights in the cause of Allah for the time it takes to milk a she-camel between two milkings, Paradise becomes obligatory for him."

يرفع الحديث إلى النبي ﷺ قال قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يجمع الله في جوف رجل غبارا في سبيل الله ودخان جهنم ومن اغبرت قدماه في سبيل الله حرم الله سائر جسده على النار ومن صام يوما في سبيل الله باعد الله عنه النار مسيرة ألف سنة للراكب المستعجل ومن جرح جراحة في سبيل الله ختم له بخاتم الشهداء له نور يوم القيامة لونها مثل لون الزعفران وريحها مثل ريح المسك يعرفه بها الأولون والآخرون يقولون فلان عليه طابع الشهداء ومن قاتل في سبيل الله فواق ناقة وجبت له الجنة
