Umm Jameel bint Majlal reported,

I brought you back from the land of Abyssinia, and when we were a night or two away from Madinah, I cooked some food for you. The firewood ran out, so I went out to fetch more. You reached for the pot and it tipped over onto your forearm. I brought you to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "May my father and mother be ransomed for you, Messenger of Allah, this is Muhammad bin Hatib."He spat into your mouth, wiped his hand over your head, and supplicated for you. Then he began spitting onto your hand, saying, "Remove the harm, Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind."She said, I had not risen with you from his presence before your hand had healed.

حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي العباس ويونس بن محمد قالا حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عثمان قال إبراهيم بن أبي العباس ابن إبراهيم بن محمد بن حاطب قال حدثني أبي عن جده محمد بن حاطب

عن أمه أم جميل بنت المجلل قالت

أقبلت بك من أرض الحبشة حتى إذا كنت من المدينة على ليلة أو ليلتين طبخت لك طبيخا ففني الحطب فخرجت أطلبه فتناولت القدر فانكفأت على ذراعك فأتيت بك النبي ﷺ فقلت بأبي أنت وأمي يا رسول الله هذا محمد بن حاطب فتفل في فاك ومسح على رأسك ودعا لك وجعل يتفل على يدك ويقول أذهب الباس رب الناس واشف وأنت الشافي لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك شفاء لا يغادر سقما قالت فما قمت بك من عنده حتى برأت يدك
