Umm Kiram reported,

She performed the pilgrimage and said, "I met a woman in Mecca who had many female relatives and servants, none of whom wore any jewelry except silver. I asked her, 'Why do I not see any of your household wearing jewelry except silver?'She replied, 'My grandfather was once with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I was with him wearing two earrings of gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two flames of fire!" So we, the people of this household, none of us wears any jewelry except silver.'"

أنها حجت قالت فلقيت امرأة بمكة كثيرة الحشم ليس عليهن حلي إلا الفضة فقلت لها ما لي لا أرى على أحد من حشمك حليا إلا الفضة قالت كان جدي عند رسول الله ﷺ وأنا معه علي قرطان من ذهب فقال رسول الله ﷺ شهابان من نار فنحن أهل البيت ليس أحد منا يلبس حليا إلا الفضة
