I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrate during the recitation of Surah an-Najm, and the people prostrated along with him.Muttalib said, "I did not prostrate with them, for I was a polytheist at that time."Muttalib said, "I will never abandon prostrating during this surah ever again."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال حدثنا معمر عن ابن طاوس عن عكرمة بن خالد
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ سجد في النجم وسجد الناس معه قال المطلب ولم أسجد معهم وهو يومئذ مشرك قال المطلب ولا أدع السجود فيها أبدا
