Ubayd bin Jabr reported,

I sailed with Abu Basra from al-Fustat to Alexandria on a ship. When we cast off from our harbor, he ordered his meal to be brought, and it was set before him. Then he invited me to lunch, and this was during Ramadan.I said, "Abu Basra, by Allah, our homes have not yet disappeared from our sight."He replied, "Are you turning away from the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"I said, "No."He said, "Then eat."So we continued breaking our fast until we reached our destination.

عن عبيد بن جبر قال

ركبت مع أبي بصرة من الفسطاط إلى الإسكندرية في سفينة فلما دفعنا من مرسانا أمر بسفرته فقربت ثم دعاني إلى الغداء وذلك في رمضان فقلت يا أبا بصرة والله ما تغيبت عنا منازلنا بعد فقال أترغب عن سنة رسول الله ﷺ قلت لا قال فكل فلم نزل مفطرين حتى بلغنا ماحوزنا
