A man reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has increased a prayer for you, so pray it between the night prayer and the dawn prayer, the witr, the witr." This was reported by Abu Basra al-Ghifari.Abu Tamim said, I was sitting with Abu Dharr when Abu Dharr took me by the hand and we set off to Abu Basra. We found him near the door adjoining the house of Amr bin As.Abu Dharr asked, "Abu Basra, did you yourself hear the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Allah has increased a prayer for you, so pray it between the night prayer and the dawn prayer, the witr, the witr'?"He replied, "Yes."Abu Dharr asked again, "You heard it yourself?"He replied, "Yes."Abu Dharr asked once more, "You heard it yourself?"He replied, "Yes."

حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق أخبرنا ابن لهيعة أخبرنا عبد الله بن هبيرة قال سمعت أبا تميم الجيشاني يقول سمعت عمرو بن العاص يقول

أخبرني رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ يقول

إن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الله عز وجل زادكم صلاة فصلوها فيما بين صلاة العشاء إلى صلاة الصبح الوتر الوتر ألا وإنه أبو بصرة الغفاري قال أبو تميم فكنت أنا وأبو ذر قاعدين قال فأخذ بيدي أبو ذر فانطلقنا إلى أبي بصرة فوجدناه عند الباب الذي يلي دار عمرو بن العاص فقال أبو ذر يا أبا بصرة آنت سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول إن الله عز وجل زادكم صلاة صلوها فيما بين صلاة العشاء إلى صلاة الصبح الوتر الوتر قال نعم قال أنت سمعته قال نعم قال أنت سمعته قال نعم
