The Prophet ﷺ heard two men quarreling, and one of them was furious, his anger intensifying as he spoke. The Prophet ﷺ said, "I know a word that, if he said it, the devil would leave him."A man then went to him and said, "Say, 'I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.'"He replied, "Do you see anything wrong with me?"He kept adding nothing more than that.
حدثنا حفص بن غياث قال حدثنا الأعمش عن عدي بن ثابت الأنصاري
سمع النبي ﷺ رجلين وهما يتقاولان وأحدهما قد غضب واشتد غضبه وهو يقول فقال النبي ﷺ إني لأعلم كلمة لو قالها ذهب عنه الشيطان قال فأتاه رجل فقال قل أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم قال هل ترى بأسا قال ما زاده على ذلك
