Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the Asr prayer, he would sometimes go to the tribe of Banu Abd al-Ashhal and converse with them until it was nearly time for Maghrib.Abu Rafi said, While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was hurrying back for Maghrib, he passed by al-Baqi and said, "Shame on you, shame on you," twice. My heart sank and I held back, thinking he meant me.He said, "What is the matter with you? Walk on."I said, "Have I done something wrong, Messenger of Allah?"He asked, "What makes you say that?"I said, "You expressed disgust at me."He said, "No, but this is the grave of so-and-so. I had sent him as a collector of zakat over such-and-such tribe, and he stole a striped cloak. Now he is clothed in one like it made of fire."
حدثنا معاوية قال حدثنا أبو إسحاق الفزاري عن ابن جريج قال حدثني منبوذ رجل من آل أبي رافع عن الفضل بن عبد الله بن أبي رافع
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا صلى العصر ربما ذهب إلى بني عبد الأشهل فيتحدث حتى ينحدر للمغرب قال فقال أبو رافع فبينا رسول الله ﷺ مسرعا إلى المغرب إذ مر بالبقيع فقال أف لك أف لك مرتين فكبر في ذرعي وتأخرت وظننت أنه يريدني فقال ما لك امش قال قلت أحدثت حدثا يا رسول الله قال وما ذاك قلت أففت بي قال لا ولكن هذا قبر فلان بعثته ساعيا على بني فلان فغل نمرة فدرع الآن مثلها من نار
