Mughira bin Abdullah Yashkuri reported,

I set out to Kufa to bring back some mules. I arrived at the market, but it had not yet opened.I said to my companion, "What if we went into the mosque?" Its location at that time was among the date sellers.There we found a man from Qays called Ibn al-Muntafiq, and he was saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was described to me, and I formed a clear picture of him in my mind. So I sought him out at Mina, but I was told he was at Arafat. I went there and pressed through the crowd toward him. People said to me, 'Get back, away from the Messenger of Allah's path!'But he said, 'Leave the man alone. He has some need.'So I pushed through until I reached him. I took hold of the halter of the Messenger of Allah's mount" — or he said, "its rein." This is how Muhammad related it. "Until the necks of our two mounts crossed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not rebuke me" — or he said, "did not change his manner toward me." This is how Muhammad related it.I said, "There are two things I ask you about. What will save me from the Fire, and what will admit me to Paradise?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked up to the sky, then lowered his head, then turned his face toward me and said, "Although you have made your question brief, you have asked about something tremendous and far-reaching. So pay close attention to what I tell you. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prescribed prayer, pay the obligatory zakat, fast Ramadan, and whatever you would love people to do to you, do it to them, and whatever you would hate for people to do to you, spare them from it."Then he said, "Now release the mount."

المغيرة بن عبد الله اليشكري عن أبيه قال

انطلقت إلى الكوفة لأجلب بغالا قال فأتيت السوق ولم تقم قال قلت لصاحب لي لو دخلنا المسجد وموضعه يومئذ في أصحاب التمر فإذا فيه رجل من قيس يقال له ابن المنتفق وهو يقول وصف لي رسول الله ﷺ وحلي فطلبته بمنى فقيل لي هو بعرفات فانتهيت إليه فزاحمت عليه فقيل لي إليك عن طريق رسول الله ﷺ فقال دعوا الرجل أرب ما له قال فزاحمت عليه حتى خلصت إليه قال فأخذت بخطام راحلة رسول الله ﷺ أو قال زمامها هكذا حدث محمد حتى اختلفت أعناق راحلتينا قال فما يزعني رسول الله ﷺ أو قال ما غير علي هكذا حدث محمد قال قلت ثنتان أسألك عنهما ما ينجيني من النار وما يدخلني الجنة قال فنظر رسول الله ﷺ إلى السماء ثم نكس رأسه ثم أقبل علي بوجهه قال لئن كنت أوجزت في المسألة لقد أعظمت وأطولت فاعقل عني إذا اعبد الله لا تشرك به شيئا وأقم الصلاة المكتوبة وأد الزكاة المفروضة وصم رمضان وما تحب أن يفعله بك الناس فافعله بهم وما تكره أن يأتي إليك الناس فذر الناس منه ثم قال خل سبيل الراحلة
