Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first to deny was Adam," repeating it three times. "When Allah created him, He wiped his back and brought forth his descendants and displayed them before him. Among them he saw a radiant man and asked, 'My Lord, who is this?'Allah replied, 'This is your son Dawud.'Adam asked, 'How long is his lifespan?'Allah said, 'Sixty years.'Adam said, 'My Lord, increase his lifespan.'Allah said, 'Not unless you add to it from your own lifespan.'So Adam added forty years from his own lifespan, and Allah recorded a document for this and had the angels witness it. When the time came to take Adam's soul, he said, 'Forty years remain of my term.'He was told, 'But you gave them to your son Dawud.'He denied it. So Allah produced the document and established the proof against him. Allah then completed Dawud's lifespan to one hundred years and completed Adam's lifespan to one thousand years."

حدثنا أسود بن عامر قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن علي بن زيد عن يوسف بن مهران

عن ابن عباس قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ أول من جحد آدم قالها ثلاث مرات إن الله لما خلقه مسح ظهره فأخرج ذريته فعرضهم عليه فرأى فيهم رجلا يزهر قال أي رب من هذا قال ابنك داود قال كم عمره قال ستون قال أي رب زد في عمره قال لا إلا أن تزيده أنت من عمرك فزاده أربعين سنة من عمره فكتب الله عليه كتابا وأشهد عليه الملائكة فلما أراد أن يقبض روحه قال بقي من أجلي أربعون فقيل له إنك جعلته لابنك داود قال فجحد قال فأخرج الله عز وجل الكتاب وأقام عليه البينة فأتمها لداود عليه السلام مائة سنة وأتمها لآدم عليه السلام عمره ألف سنة
