Umm Tariq reported,

The Prophet ﷺ came to Saad and asked permission to enter, but Saad remained silent. He repeated his request, and Saad again kept silent. He asked a third time, and still Saad said nothing. So the Prophet ﷺ turned away.She said, Saad then sent me after him with this message, "Nothing prevented us from granting you permission except that we wanted you to give us more greetings of peace."She continued, I heard a voice at the door asking permission to enter, but I could see no one.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Who are you?"The voice replied, "I am Umm Mildam."He said, "No welcome to you and no comfort. Will you go instead to the people of Quba?"She answered, "Yes."He said, "Then go to them."

حدثنا يعلى بن عبيد قال حدثنا الأعمش عن جعفر بن عبد الرحمن الأنصاري

عن أم طارق مولاة سعد قالت

جاء النبي ﷺ إلى سعد فاستأذن فسكت سعد ثم أعاد فسكت سعد ثم عاد فسكت سعد فانصرف النبي ﷺ قالت فأرسلني إليه سعد أنه لم يمنعنا أن نأذن لك إلا أنا أردنا أن تزيدنا قالت فسمعت صوتا على الباب يستأذن ولا أرى شيئا فقال رسول الله ﷺ من أنت قالت أم ملدم قال لا مرحبا بك ولا أهلا أتهدين إلى أهل قبا قالت نعم قال فاذهبي إليهم
