Fatimah bint Yaman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "Women, do not adorn yourselves with gold. Is there not enough silver for you to adorn yourselves with? There is not a woman among you who adorns herself with gold and displays it except that she will be punished because of it."

حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا سفيان عن منصور عن ربعي عن امرأته

عن أخت لحذيفة قالت

خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا معشر النساء لا تحلين الذهب أما لكن في الفضة ما تحلين به ما منكن امرأة تحلى ذهبا تظهره إلا عذبت به
