The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to visit us, and with him was Ali, who was just recovering from an illness. We had clusters of dates hanging up, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and began eating from them, and Ali also stood up and began eating from them. The Prophet ﷺ kept saying to Ali, "Stop, you are still recovering," until Ali held back.She said, I prepared some barley and chard and brought it to them.The Prophet ﷺ said to Ali, "Take some of this, it will be better for you."
حدثنا أبو عامر قال حدثنا فليح عن أيوب بن عبد الرحمن بن صعصعة عن يعقوب بن أبي يعقوب
دخل علي رسول الله ﷺ ومعه علي وعلي ناقه من مرض ولنا دوال معلقة فقام رسول الله ﷺ يأكل منها وقام علي يأكل منها فطفق النبي ﷺ يقول لعلي مه إنك ناقه حتى كف قالت وصنعت شعيرا وسلقا فجئت به قال قال النبي ﷺ لعلي من هذا أصب فهو أنفع لك
