The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a sermon and said, "Women, give in charity even from your jewelry, for you will form the majority of the inhabitants of Hell on the Day of Resurrection."She said, Abdullah was a man of modest means, so I said to him, "Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for me whether it would be sufficient for me as charity to spend on my husband and on the orphans in my care."She said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had been clothed with such awe that Abdullah replied, "You go and ask him yourself."She said, so I set out and reached his door, where I found a woman from the Ansar named Zaynab whose need was the same as mine.She said, Bilal came out to us, and we said to him, "Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for us whether it would be sufficient for us as charity to spend on our husbands and on the orphans in our care."She said, Bilal went in to him and said, "There are two women named Zaynab at the door."He asked, "Which Zaynabs?"Bilal said, "Zaynab the wife of Abdullah, and Zaynab a woman from the Ansar. They are asking you about spending on their husbands and on the orphans in their care, whether that suffices for them as charity."She said, Bilal came out to us and said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They will have two rewards, the reward of kinship and the reward of charity."
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن شقيق عن عمرو بن الحارث بن المصطلق عن ابن أخي زينب امرأة عبد الله
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا معشر النساء تصدقن ولو من حليكن فإنكن أكثر أهل جهنم يوم القيامة قالت وكان عبد الله رجلا خفيف ذات اليد فقلت له سل لي رسول الله ﷺ أيجزئ عني من الصدقة النفقة على زوجي وأيتام في حجري قالت وكان رسول الله ﷺ قد ألقيت عليه المهابة فقال اذهبي أنت فاسأليه قالت فانطلقت فانتهيت إلى بابه فإذا عليه امرأة من الأنصار اسمها زينب حاجتي حاجتها قالت فخرج علينا بلال قالت فقلنا له سل لنا رسول الله ﷺ أيجزئ عنا من الصدقة النفقة على أزواجنا وأيتام في حجورنا قالت فدخل عليه بلال فقال على الباب زينب فقال أي الزيانب قال فقال زينب امرأة عبد الله وزينب امرأة من الأنصار تسألانك عن النفقة على أزواجهما وأيتام في حجورهما أيجزئ ذلك عنهما من الصدقة قالت فخرج إلينا فقال قال رسول الله ﷺ لهما أجران أجر القرابة وأجر الصدقة
