Asma bint Abu Bakr reported,

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ halted at Dhu Tuwa, Abu Quhafa said to a daughter of his, the youngest of his children, "Dear daughter, take me up to Mount Abu Qubays."She said, his sight had already failed him by then. She continued, "So I led him up to its summit."He asked, "Dear daughter, what do you see?"She replied, "I see a dense black mass."He said, "Those are the horsemen."She said, "And I see a man running back and forth among that black mass."He said, "Dear daughter, that is the marshal," meaning the one who gives orders to the cavalry and rides ahead of them.Then she said, "By Allah, the black mass has now spread out."He said, "By Allah, then the cavalry has been unleashed. Hurry me back to my house."So she brought him down, but the horsemen overtook him before he could reach his house. The young girl was wearing a silver necklace around her neck, and a man came upon her and snatched it from her neck.She said, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Mecca and went into the Mosque, Abu Bakr came to him bringing his father to visit him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said, "Why did you not leave the old man in his house so that I could come to him there?"Abu Bakr replied, "Messenger of Allah, he is more deserving of walking to you than you are of walking to him."So he seated him before himself, then wiped his chest and said to him, "Submit." So he accepted Islam.Abu Bakr had brought him in to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with his head white like a thaghama plant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Change the color of this hair of his."Then Abu Bakr stood up, took his sister by the hand, and said, "I adjure, by Allah and by Islam, whoever took my sister's necklace." But no one answered him. So he said, "Dear sister, count your necklace as a loss for the sake of Allah's reward."

حدثنا يعقوب قال حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق قال حدثني يحيى بن عباد بن عبد الله بن الزبير عن أبيه

عن جدته أسماء بنت أبي بكر قالت

لما وقف رسول الله ﷺ بذي طوى قال أبو قحافة لابنة له من أصغر ولده أي بنية اظهري بي على أبي قبيس قالت وقد كف بصره قالت فأشرفت به عليه فقال يا بنية ماذا ترين قالت أرى سوادا مجتمعا قال تلك الخيل قالت وأرى رجلا يسعى بين ذلك السواد مقبلا ومدبرا قال يا بنية ذلك الوازع يعني الذي يأمر الخيل ويتقدم إليها ثم قالت قد والله انتشر السواد فقال قد والله إذا دفعت الخيل فأسرعي بي إلى بيتي فانحطت به وتلقاه الخيل قبل أن يصل إلى بيته وفي عنق الجارية طوق لها من ورق فتلقاه الرجل فاقتلعه من عنقها قالت فلما دخل رسول الله ﷺ مكة ودخل المسجد أتاه أبو بكر بأبيه يعوده فلما رآه رسول الله ﷺ قال هلا تركت الشيخ في بيته حتى أكون أنا آتيه فيه قال أبو بكر يا رسول الله هو أحق أن يمشي إليك من أن تمشي أنت إليه قال فأجلسه بين يديه ثم مسح صدره ثم قال له أسلم فأسلم ودخل به أبو بكر رضي الله عنه على رسول الله ﷺ ورأسه كأنه ثغامة فقال رسول الله ﷺ غيروا هذا من شعره ثم قام أبو بكر فأخذ بيد أخته فقال أنشد بالله وبالإسلام طوق أختي فلم يجبه أحد فقال يا أخية احتسبي طوقك
