The Prophet ﷺ became alarmed on the day the sun was eclipsed. He grabbed a coat of mail until he was given his cloak, then he stood with the people for a long time, standing and then bowing.She said, "I began looking at a woman who was older than me standing, and at a woman who was more frail than me standing, and I said to myself, 'I have more right to endure the long standing than you.'"Ibn Jurayj said, Mansur bin Abdul-Rahman narrated to me from his mother Safiya bint Shayba, from Asma bint Abu Bakr, that the Prophet ﷺ became alarmed.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا ابن جريج قال حدثت
فزع النبي ﷺ يوم كسفت الشمس فأخذ درعا حتى أدرك بردائه فقام بالناس قياما طويلا يقوم ثم يركع قالت فجعلت أنظر إلى المرأة التي هي أكبر مني قائمة وإلى المرأة التي هي أسقم مني قائمة فقلت إني أحق أن أصبر على طول القيام منك و قال ابن جريج حدثني منصور بن عبد الرحمن عن أمه صفية بنت شيبة عن أسماء بنت أبي بكر أن النبي ﷺ فزع
