I prepared the travel provisions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the house of Abu Bakr when he intended to emigrate. We could not find anything with which to tie up his food container or his water-skin.I said to Abu Bakr, "By Allah, I cannot find anything to tie them with except my waist-belt."He replied, "Tear it in two, and tie the water-skin with one piece and the food container with the other."For that reason I was named Sumayy of the Two Belts.
حدثنا أبو أسامة قال حدثنا هشام عن أبيه وفاطمة بنت المنذر
صنعت سفرة رسول الله ﷺ في بيت أبي بكر حين أراد أن يهاجر قالت فلم نجد لسفرته ولا لسقائه ما نربطهما به قالت فقلت لأبي بكر والله ما أجد شيئا أربطه به إلا نطاقي قال فقال شقيه باثنين فاربطي بواحد السقاء والآخر السفرة فلذلك سميت ذات النطاقين
