I asked Ibn Umar, and he mentioned a hadith. He said that a man asked him about which animals may be killed, and he replied, "One of the wives of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me that he ordered the killing of the mouse, the scorpion, the rabid dog, the kite, and the crow."
