The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up one morning feeling heavy and troubled. He was asked, "What is the matter with you, Messenger of Allah? You look downcast this morning."He replied, "Jibreel promised to meet me, but he did not come to me, and he has never broken a promise to me before."Jibreel did not come to him that day, nor the second, nor the third. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ suspected that there might be a puppy under our bench. He ordered it to be removed, then he took some water and sprinkled the spot.Jibreel
then came, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "You promised me, but I did not see you."He replied, "We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image."So on that day he ordered that dogs be killed. He even gave permission regarding the dog of a small garden, ordering that it be killed.
