He entered upon Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and she gave him a cup of barley gruel to drink. He then called for water and rinsed his mouth.She said to him, "Nephew, will you not perform ablution? For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Perform ablution after eating anything that fire has touched or altered.'"
حدثنا يونس قال حدثنا أبان يعني ابن يزيد العطار عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي سلمة
أنه دخل على أم حبيبة زوج النبي ﷺ فسقته قدحا من سويق فدعا بماء فمضمض فقالت له يا ابن أخي ألا تتوضأ فإن رسول الله ﷺ قال توضئوا مما مست النار أو غيرت
