Umm Salama bint Abu Umaya reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be discord at the death of a caliph. A man will flee from Madinah to Makkah, and people from Makkah will come to him and bring him out against his will, pledging allegiance to him between the Corner and the Station. An army will then be sent against him from Sham, but they will be swallowed up by the earth at al-Bayda. When the people see this, the Abdal of Sham and the bands of Iraq will come to him and pledge allegiance to him."Then a man from Quraysh whose maternal uncles are from Kalb will arise and send a force against the Makkan, but they will be defeated. That will be the expedition of Kalb, and disappointed indeed is whoever does not witness the spoils of Kalb. He will distribute the wealth and govern the people according to the way of their Prophet ﷺ, and Islam will lay its neck firmly upon the earth. He will remain for nine years."Harami said, "Or seven."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يكون اختلاف عند موت خليفة فيخرج رجل من المدينة هارب إلى مكة فيأتيه ناس من أهل مكة فيخرجونه وهو كاره فيبايعونه بين الركن والمقام فيبعث إليهم جيش من الشام فيخسف بهم بالبيداء فإذا رأى الناس ذلك أتته أبدال الشام وعصائب العراق فيبايعونه ثم ينشأ رجل من قريش أخواله كلب فيبعث إليه المكي بعثا فيظهرون عليهم وذلك بعث كلب والخيبة لمن لم يشهد غنيمة كلب فيقسم المال ويعمل في الناس سنة نبيهم ﷺ ويلقي الإسلام بجرانه إلى الأرض يمكث تسع سنين قال حرمي أو سبع
