Umm Salama bint Abu Umaya reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When the slave under a contract of manumission has acquired enough to pay off his contract, then veil yourselves from him."

حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا معمر حدثنا ابن شهاب عن نبهان

عن أم سلمة قالت

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إذا وجد المكاتب ما يؤدي فاحتجبن منه
