Umm Salama bint Abu Umaya reported,

Messenger of Allah, the children of Abu Salama are in my care, and they have nothing except what I spend on them. I will not leave them in such a state. Will I have a reward if I spend on them?The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Spend on them, for you will have the reward of whatever you spend on them."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال حدثنا معمر عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن زينب ابنة أبي سلمة

عن أم سلمة أنها قالت

يا رسول الله إن بني أبي سلمة في حجري وليس لهم شيء إلا ما أنفقت عليهم ولست بتاركتهم كذا ولا كذا أفلي أجر إن أنفقت عليهم فقال النبي ﷺ أنفقي عليهم فإن لك أجر ما أنفقت عليهم
