Umm Salama bint Abu Umaya reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would be intimate with his wives during the night and rise in the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, not from a wet dream, then he would bathe and fast.

حدثنا يحيى ووكيع قالا حدثنا أسامة بن زيد قال حدثنا سليمان بن يسار أنه سمع أم سلمة تقول قال وكيع في حديثه قال سمعت سليمان بن يسار

عن أم سلمة قالت

كان رسول الله ﷺ يمس أهله من الليل فيصبح جنبا من غير احتلام فيغتسل ويصوم
