I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Why are we not mentioned in the Quran the way men are mentioned?"She said, "Nothing alarmed me that day except his call from the pulpit. I was combing my hair, so I gathered it up and went out to one of the chambers of my house and pressed my ear to the palm-stalks of the wall. There he was, saying from the pulpit, 'People, Allah says in His Book, "Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women," to the end of the verse, "Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward"' [Ahzab 33:35]."
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد قال عثمان بن حكيم قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن شيبة قال سمعت
قلت للنبي ﷺ ما لنا لا نذكر في القرآن كما يذكر الرجال قالت فلم يرعني منه يومئذ إلا ونداؤه على المنبر قالت وأنا أسرح شعري فلففت شعري ثم خرجت إلى حجرة من حجر بيتي فجعلت سمعي عند الجريد فإذا هو يقول عند المنبر يا أيها الناس إن الله يقول في كتابه {إن المسلمين والمسلمات والمؤمنين والمؤمنات} إلى آخر الآية {أعد الله لهم مغفرة وأجرا عظيما}
