I got my menses while I was lying with the Prophet ﷺ under a single garment. She said, "So I slipped away."He asked, "Have you started your menses?"I replied, "Messenger of Allah, I have experienced what women experience."He said, "That is what Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam."She said, "So I went, took care of myself, fastened a cloth tightly around me, then came back and got under the cover with him."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا محمد يعني ابن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
حضت وأنا مع النبي ﷺ في ثوب قالت فانسللت فقال أنفست قلت يا رسول الله وجدت ما تجد النساء قال ذاك ما كتب على بنات آدم قالت فانطلقت فأصلحت من شأني فاستثفرت بثوب ثم جئت فدخلت معه في لحافه
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Majah related it (1/209, no. 637), and Darimi (1/259, no. 1044), and it was already mentioned from Ayesha that the Prophet ﷺ instructed her to wrap herself in a waist-wrapper and then return. See 25391.
