Umm Salama reported,

Umm Salama reported that the Prophet ﷺ was in her house when Fatimah brought him a pot containing a porridge dish. She came in with it, and he said to her, "Call your husband and your two sons."Umm Salama said, "So Ali, Husayn, and Hasan came and went in to him, and they sat eating from that porridge. He was resting on a bed on a raised platform, with a Khaybari cloak beneath him, and I was praying in the chamber. Then Allah revealed this verse, 'Allah wishes only to remove all impurity from you, people of the household, and to purify you completely' [Ahzab 33:33]."She continued, "He took the loose end of the cloak and covered them with it. Then he stretched out his hand, pointing it toward the sky, and said, 'Allah, these are my household and those closest to me, so remove impurity from them and purify them completely. Allah, these are my household and those closest to me, so remove impurity from them and purify them completely.'"She said, "I put my head into the room and said, 'And am I with you, Messenger of Allah?'"He replied, "You are set for good. You are set for good."Abdul-Malik said, "Abu Layla also narrated to me from Umm Salama exactly like the hadith of Ata."Abdul-Malik said, "And Dawud bin Abu Awf, Abul-Hajjaf, narrated to me from Shahr bin Hawshab, from Umm Salama, exactly the same."

أن النبي ﷺ كان في بيتها فأتته فاطمة ببرمة فيها خزيرة فدخلت بها عليه فقال لها ادعي زوجك وابنيك قالت فجاء علي والحسين والحسن فدخلوا عليه فجلسوا يأكلون من تلك الخزيرة وهو على منامة له على دكان تحته كساء له خيبري قالت وأنا أصلي في الحجرة فأنزل الله عز وجل هذه الآية {إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا} قالت فأخذ فضل الكساء فغشاهم به ثم أخرج يده فألوى بها إلى السماء ثم قال اللهم هؤلاء أهل بيتي وخاصتي فأذهب عنهم الرجس وطهرهم تطهيرا اللهم هؤلاء أهل بيتي وخاصتي فأذهب عنهم الرجس وطهرهم تطهيرا قالت فأدخلت رأسي البيت فقلت وأنا معكم يا رسول الله قال إنك إلى خير إنك إلى خير قال عبد الملك وحدثني أبو ليلى عن أم سلمة مثل حديث عطاء سواء قال عبد الملك وحدثني داود بن أبي عوف أبو الحجاف عن شهر بن حوشب عن أم سلمة بمثله سواء
