Zaynab bint Abu Salama reported that Umm Habiba, the daughter of Abu Sufyan, told her that she once said, "Messenger of Allah, marry my sister."He asked, "And what would I do with her?"She said, "Marry her."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Would you really like that?"She replied, "Yes. I do not have you to myself anyway, and the one I would most want to share this good with is my sister."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "She is not lawful for me."She said, "By Allah, I have heard that you are seeking the hand of Durra, the daughter of Umm Salama bint Abu Salama."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Even if she were lawful for me, I would not marry her. Thuwayba, the freedwoman of Banu Hashim, nursed both me and her father. So do not offer me your sisters or your daughters."My father said that Ibn Akhi Zuhri agreed with him, while Aqeel said that Umm Habiba said it.
