Sabia, daughter of Harith, gave birth about twenty nights after her husband's death and wished to remarry. Abu Sanabil said to her, "You cannot do that until the longer of the two waiting periods has passed."This was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "She may marry whenever she wishes."
حدثنا هشيم بن بشير حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سليمان بن يسار
أن سبيعة ابنة الحارث وضعت بعد وفاة زوجها بعشرين ليلة أو نحو ذلك وأرادت التزويج فقال لها أبو السنابل ليس لك ذلك حتى يأتي عليك آخر الأجلين فذكر ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال تزوج إذا شاءت
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it, 8/753, no. 4909, in the tafsir of Surah Talaq, and Muslim, 2/112, no. 1485, and Tirmidhi, 2/490, no. 1194, who said, hasan sahih, and Nasai, 6/192, no. 3512, and Darimi, 2/219, no. 2280, and Malik, 1/590, no. 86, all of them in the book of divorce.
