Whenever the Prophet ﷺ went to his bed, he would lie down on his right side and then say three times, "My Lord, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants."He would use his right hand for eating, drinking, performing ablution, dressing, taking, and giving, and he would use his left hand for everything else.He used to fast three days of every month, Monday, Thursday, and the Monday of the following week.
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال حدثنا عاصم بن بهدلة عن سواء الخزاعي
كان النبي ﷺ إذا أوى إلى فراشه اضطجع على يده اليمنى ثم قال رب قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك ثلاث مرار وكان يجعل يمينه لأكله وشربه ووضوئه وثيابه وأخذه وعطائه ويجعل شماله لما سوى ذلك وكان يصوم ثلاثة أيام من كل شهر الاثنين والخميس والاثنين من الجمعة الأخرى
