I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "An army shall march against this House to attack it. When they reach al-Bayda, the ground will swallow up those in their middle. Their front and rear will cry out to one another, but none will escape except a lone fugitive who will report what happened to them."A man said, "By Allah, it is just so. I have not lied about Hafsah, nor did Hafsah lie about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
Its isnad is sahih. Umaya bin Safwan is reliable, as is his grandfather, and their hadith is found in Muslim. The hadith was narrated by Muslim (4/2209, no. 2883), Ibn Majah (2/1350, no. 4063), both in the chapter on Tribulations, Nasai (5/207, no. 2879), and Humaydi (1/137, no. 286).
