The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never struck anyone with his hand, not a wife of his, nor a servant, nor anything else, except when fighting in the cause of Allah.She said, nothing was ever done against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for which he sought revenge, unless the sacred limits of Allah were violated, in which case he would exact retribution for the sake of Allah.She said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never given a choice between two matters, one easier than the other, except that he chose the easier of the two, unless it involved sin. If it involved sin, he was the furthest of people from it.

ما ضرب رسول الله ﷺ بيده امرأة له قط ولا خادما ولا ضرب بيده شيئا قط إلا أن يجاهد في سبيل الله قالت ما نيل من رسول الله ﷺ شيئا فانتقمه إلا أن تنتهك محارم الله فينتقم لله قالت ما عرض على رسول الله ﷺ أمران أحدهما أيسر من الآخر إلا أخذ الذي هو الأيسر إلا أن يكون إثما فإن كان إثما كان أبعد الناس منه
