Abu Hurairah said, "Whoever rises in the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, his fast is invalid."Marwan sent Abu Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman to Ayesha to ask her about this. He said to her, "Abu Hurairah says that whoever rises in the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, his fast is invalid."Ayesha replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be in a state of major ritual impurity and would then complete his fast."He then sent word to Abu Hurairah informing him that Ayesha had said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be in a state of major ritual impurity and would then complete his fast, and so Abu Hurairah refrained from his earlier position.
حدثنا عبيدة قال حدثني منصور عن مجاهد
قال أبو هريرة من أصبح جنبا فلا صوم له فأرسل مروان أبو بكر بن عبد الرحمن إلى عائشة يسألها فقال لها إن أبا هريرة يقول من أصبح جنبا فلا صوم له فقالت عائشة قد كان رسول الله ﷺ يجنب ثم يتم صومه فأرسل إلى أبي هريرة فأخبره أن عائشة قالت إن رسول الله ﷺ كان يجنب ثم يتم صومه فكف أبو هريرة
