While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was lying down in my house, he suddenly sat up with a start, saying, "We belong to Allah, and to Him we return."I said, "May my father and mother be given for you. What is the matter, Messenger of Allah, that you say these words?"He replied, "An army of my nation will come from the direction of Syria, heading for the House, seeking a man whom Allah will protect from them. When they reach Bayda, near Dhul-Hulayfa, they will be swallowed up by the earth, though their reasons for setting out differ."I said, "Messenger of Allah, how can they all be swallowed up when their reasons for setting out differ?"He answered, "Among them are those who were compelled to come," saying it three times.
