The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade preparing nabidh in hollowed-out tree trunks, gourds, and pitch-coated vessels, and he said, "Drink only from a vessel that can be tied shut."So they made containers from camel hides and fitted them with necks made from sheep skins. When word of this reached him, he said, "Drink only from a vessel whose top is made of the same material as the rest of it."
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق قال أخبرنا عبد الله قال أخبرنا حسين بن عبد الله بن عبيد الله بن عباس عن عكرمة
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن النبيذ في النقير والدباء والمزفت وقال لا تشربوا إلا في ذي إكاء فصنعوا جلود الإبل ثم جعلوا لها أعناقا من جلود الغنم فبلغه ذلك فقال لا تشربوا إلا فيما أعلاه منه
Its isnad is daif because of Husayn, and it is found in Majma al-Zawaid 5:60, where it is said, "Part of its beginning is found in the Sahih. It was narrated by Ahmad and Abu Yaala, and it contains Husayn bin Abdullah bin Ubaydullah, who is discarded (matruk). The majority declared him daif, though it is related from Ibn Main in one report that there is no harm in him, and that his hadith may be written down." See also 2499.
