The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the state of ihram for both Hajj and Umrah during the Farewell Pilgrimage and brought sacrificial animals with him. Some people entered ihram for Umrah along with him and brought sacrificial animals, while others entered ihram for Umrah without bringing any sacrificial animals.Ayesha said, "I was among those who entered ihram for Umrah without bringing a sacrificial animal."When the Prophet ﷺ arrived, he said, "Whoever among you entered ihram for Umrah and brought a sacrificial animal with him should circumambulate the House and walk between Safa and Marwa, but should not come out of any part of his ihram restrictions until he completes his Hajj and slaughters his sacrificial animal on the Day of Sacrifice. And whoever among you entered ihram for Umrah without bringing a sacrificial animal should circumambulate the House, walk between Safa and Marwa, then complete the rites and exit ihram. Then he should enter ihram again for Hajj and offer a sacrifice. Whoever cannot find a sacrifice should fast three days during the Hajj and seven days when he returns to his family."Ayesha said, "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave priority to the Hajj, whose time he feared would pass, and delayed the Umrah."
حدثنا روح قال حدثنا صالح بن أبي الأخضر قال أخبرنا ابن شهاب أن عروة أخبره أن
أهل رسول الله ﷺ بالحج والعمرة في حجة الوداع وساق معه الهدي وأهل ناس معه بالعمرة وساقوا الهدي وأهل ناس بالعمرة ولم يسوقوا هديا قالت عائشة فكنت ممن أهل بالعمرة ولم أسق هديا فلما قدم النبي ﷺ قال من كان منكم أهل بالعمرة فساق معه الهدي فليطف بالبيت وبالصفا والمروة ولا يحل منه شيء حرم منه حتى يقضي حجه وينحر هديه يوم النحر ومن كان منكم أهل بالعمرة ولم يسق معه هديا فليطف بالبيت وبالصفا والمروة ثم ليفض وليحل ثم ليهل بالحج وليهد فمن لم يجد فصيام ثلاثة أيام في الحج وسبعة إذا رجع إلى أهله قالت عائشة فقدم رسول الله ﷺ الحج الذي خاف فوته وأخر العمرة
