The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting without breaking it between days. Someone said to him, "But you yourself fast continuously."He replied, "I am not like any of you. I spend the night being fed and given drink by my Lord."
حدثنا روح قال حدثنا شعبة عن أبي بكر عاصم مولى لقريبة بنت محمد بن أبي بكر عن قريبة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن الوصال في الصوم فقلت له إنك تواصل قال أنا لست كأحد منكم إني أبيت أطعم وأسقى
Its isnad is sahih. It has already appeared at 24826. Asim Abu Bakr is Ibn Abu Najud al-Asadi, the freedman of Qurthiyyah al-Asadiyyah, who is a trustworthy narrator.
